Functional Safety Engineer
Brandon is a Functional Safety Engineer at Reynolds & Moore and lives in Boston, MA. He holds a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering (City College of New York) and an M.S. in Robotics Engineering (Worcester Polytechnic Institute). During his studies, Brandon worked for five years in recreational safety and hospitality, which inspired him to focus his academic projects on public safety and medical/occupational robotics. Brandon holds Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), and Functional Safety Engineer (TÜV Rheinland) #29756 / 24 – Machinery certifications. At Reynolds & Moore, he provides functional safety guidance to client products, develops safety plans, requirements, and analyses, performs verification and validation, and implements industry standards to ensure system safety. He specializes in hazard analysis and risk assessment (HARA), data analysis, and both ISO 13849 and IEC 62061.
Brandon enjoys hiking, camping, swimming, and practicing his photography in his free time. He also creates online videos reviewing outdoor gear and encouraging others to enjoy the outdoors safely.
